Anders & Anders is a 501(c) (3) foundation, established in 2006, whose mission is to break the cycle of recidivism through job training programs and through job preparedness placement opportunities. Its founder and Director, Terry Anders, is a former union iron worker. Mr. Anders’ passion is helping others overcome multiple life barriers in their pursuit of full employment. We provide a social network, upon release from incarceration, to former prison inmates by maintaining successful and proven partnerships with city government, local workforce development programs, community based organizations, and labor unions. These collaborations include Northern California Service League, Cornell Corrections, Walden House, FOTEP (Female Offender Employment Program) Public Defenders Office/SF Youth Guidance Center, Safe Community Re-Entry Council, and Sheriff's Dept/Nova program. We focus on job recruitment in the Visitacion Valley neighborhood, as well as in other vital San Francisco neighborhoods such as Chinatown, the Western Addition, Bayview/Hunter’s Point and Ingleside.
